The documentary will following the first man with schizophrenia to climb Everest in April 2007. The sheer scale of the mountain is an immense challenge but for Stuart his mind will be his biggest hurdle.
51 million people worldwide have Schizophrenia (over 1% of the planets population).
There is no cure.
In a defining journey Stuart will struggle against sub-zero temperatures, extreme weather, the immense physical strain endured when climbing to the height of jumbo jets and an intense mental stress caused by schizophrenia as he finally conquers a 10 year conflict with his mind.
White Lantern Film has exclusive access to the expedition which leaves in March 2007. In an epic voyage of self-discovery Stuart will face all the unexpected hurdles Mount Everest will throw at him while battling to control his mind in order to prove to the world that severe mental illness can be overcome and that he should not be feared.
