Stuart was diagnosed over 10 years ago with paranoid schizophrenia and has since been on a variety of medications which have slowly transformed the way he lives. In 2003 he was determined to change his life and so, funded by the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, he trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp. The experience inspired him to set a further goal to reach the top of the world to prove that our mind is our biggest hurdle.

This truly amazing story will inspire millions worldwide who care for or have a mental health diagnosis like Stuart’s. However, the expedition costs are high. Mountaineering in the worlds harshest conditions is expensive; therefore we are seeking donations to assist with the costs of achieve this remarkable goal.

Stuart will be the first person with a mental health diagnosis to stand on top of the world proving that you can live with schizophrenia; help him get there.
